Geeks, Nerds, Otakus, Intellos & Strebers — Unite!
What's up, everybody! It's Tuesday (Mardi), July (Juillet) 7, 2026. Today we celebrate Geeks, Nerds, Otakus, Intellos, and Strebers everywhere. Huge FIFA World Cup 2026 matches today: Argentina vs. Egypt, then Switzerland vs. Colombia. I'm rooting for Egypt, obviously — and it'd be nice to see the Swiss come through too, given Geneva's ties to the United Nations and human rights. We shall see. Best of luck to both sides!
There will be a new "Coffee with Zaki" in French later this week. In the meantime, here's today's curated roundup of tech, AI, science, and business news.
⚾🏀 Good Luck Out There
Best of luck to the Cincinnati Reds and the Oakland Athletics in MLB action.
And best of luck to the Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers in NBA Summer League. Go get it!
