🚙 Car Talk: The Nissan Altima Question
I couldn't watch livestreams on Friday because I sat inside a Nissan Altima to show it some support — Nissan nearly pulled the sedan from the North American market, and I wanted to see it firsthand. I'm actually considering one, though lumbar support isn't standard; it's a premium add-on, which matters a lot if you're planning long drives in comfort.
If you're spending $30K+ on a new sedan, it needs to be comfortable. My take: the touchscreen-heavy interior on the new Hyundai Sonata is distracting for daily driving, which makes the Altima the safer, more focused choice between the two — staying focused on the road matters.
Of course, in a perfect world I'd be looking at an Audi A4/A5/A6/A7/A8 or S4/S5/S6/S7/S8 — the RS3, RS5, RS6 Avant, and RS7 are dream cars well outside my budget for now. And I certainly wouldn't say no to a BMW M5 Touring either.
