BIRTHDAY
WEEKEND
What's up, everybody! It's Saturday — Samedi — May 23, 2026. It's my birthday weekend and the world of sport doesn't stop for anyone. Football, Formula 1, NBA, Ligue 1, Ohio State, motorsport, and more. Let's get into it. GUNDAM!
Birthday weekend continues — and as always, sport is the great equalizer. No matter what's going on in life, the whistle blows, the race starts, the ball drops. Today's Saturday Sports Edition covers the full spread: Premier League glory, La Liga, Ligue 1, Formula 1, NBA, rugby, baseball, soccer, motorsport, and Ohio State. Plus a few personal notes from your boy Zack. 🏆
Looking Back, Moving Forward
This birthday weekend didn't go the way I dreamed. No salary means no debit or credit card — which means no trip downtown to Brasserie du Monde, and no easy parking either. No Razer care package arrived. No fan letters, no gift cards, no new phone — no iPhone 17 Pro, no Pixel 10 Pro Fold, no iPad Pro, no Apple Watch, no Nothing Phone 4a. Not even a greeting card in the mail. But I did something that made me genuinely happy: I went through old boxes. Things I bought over the years during my time in Modesto. Memories I forgot I had. Old issues of Computer Music and Future Music magazine. Books from my library I want to re-read. My Funko Pops of the Oasis brothers, Santa Claus, and Great Saiyaman staring back at me as a reminder that I have responsibilities — and that I haven't forgotten who I am.
My brothers and parents gave me a little cash — enough for 1-2 games to livestream and some fast food. I joined r/PatientGamers on Reddit (shoutout to my younger brother for that one) — the philosophy of finishing older games before dropping $70 on new releases makes a lot of sense when you're on a budget. The Lenovo Legion 7 still handles Steam like a champ while I wait for that Razer Blade 16 or 18. And yes — I will miss FuelFest SF again this year. Gas is nearly $100 a tank, my car has no AC. It's just not possible right now.
To those who know I'm needed but won't pay me: life is not Marvel or DC Comics. We have real bills. I need a salary. My disability approval needs to happen. I am here. I have always been here. I just need to get paid for it.
Help Make This Birthday a Little Brighter
No sushi dinner. No care package. No gift cards. Just the hustle, the content, and 8 years of unpaid work building something real. If my blog, my livestreams, or JETLAG RADIO have ever meant something to you — please send a little love on Venmo. Every dollar goes toward birthday gaming funds and keeping this operation alive. I am financially homeless according to every metric that matters right now, and I need your support. Thank you. Always.

The Future of Graphics Is Here — And It's Wild
Unreal Engine 6 has been revealed. Remember those insane Cyberpunk 2077 UE5 demo graphics you saw?
Engine 6 goes even further. We are on a direct path toward PlayStation 6,
Xbox Helix, Valve Steam Box, and the next generation of PCs. My Cyberpunk 2077 livestreams
in Japanese Audio / English Subtitles are already running on a version of this world —
and the immersion is unlike anything else. Watch them on YouTube @iamzaki.
Side note: we need to force the AI industry to stop buying all the RAM chips
so that people can actually upgrade their computers again. While we wait —
Neo Berlin 2087 is coming. Deus Ex 3 is further away.
Be patient. r/PatientGamers knows the way. Also:
