October is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Awareness Month. [NIH]

NCI-funded research has produced many notable examples of nanotechnology-based imaging agents over the past decade. For instance, researchers have engineered multimodal nanoparticles that can delineate the margins of brain tumors before and during surgery (Moritz F Kircher, et al., Nature Methods, 2012). These nanoparticles, combining MRI, PAT, and Raman detection, are capable of tracking tumor growth and surgical staging via MRI, but also grant the surgeon the ability to visualize brain tumor down to the single cancer cell level, increasing the potential for precise removal of cancerous tissue (as shown in the figure below). Similarly, scientists have designed silica-hybrid nanoparticles (‘C-dots’) capable of providing both PET and optical imaging contrast in the same platform (Evan Philips, et al., Science Trans Med., 2016). These nanoparticles can actively target to metastatic melanoma with cRGDY peptides, making it successfully through initial clinical trials. [NIH]

Music therapy can be a beneficial treatment for people with bipolar disorder, but more research is needed:

Benefits

Music therapy can help people with bipolar disorder explore and understand their emotions, and may improve mood and mental health. It can also help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and provide opportunities for social connection.

How it works

Music therapy uses music-related activities to stimulate parts of the brain involved in thinking, feeling, and movement. It can also cause the body to release brain chemicals that promote social bonds and evoke emotions.

When to use

Music therapy may be most effective when combined with other treatments, such as psychotherapy and medication. However, some clients may have intense emotional reactions to music, so therapists should be mindful of this.

Research

Research on music therapy for bipolar disorder is limited and sometimes conflicting. For example, one study found that music therapy reduced the required doses of some psychiatric medications, while another found that people with bipolar disorder experienced tension when listening to positive music. What’s up, everybody! It’s Thursday, October 3rd, 2024. It’s Thursday, so it’s Medical Journals day. Don’t forget to vaccinate yourself from COVID-19 latest variants, so that you are protected for the next 6 months. I did that last week, I am now good against KP.2, KP.3, other variants, and got the FLU shot. You ought to do the same if you want to rest easy for the Fall & Winter months. This is just courtesy. I tried to be nice, you don’t want the unthinkable, losing a child, or a sibling, or a parent, or a grandparent. It can happen to ANY of you, just like it did to 1,000,000 Americans around the year 2020. What’s up, everybody! It’s Tuesday, October 1st, 2024. This is a very important day, it’s Former President Carter’s birthday! It’s huge, it’s his 100th birthday. I want everybody who can attend be present, and wish him the best before he goes to Heaven. He’s very excited about (almost) next month of November, this is because he wants to cast his ballot for Kamala Harris, which he considers his important civic duty like millions of us Americans who take politics seriously, because when the majority of the masses do not pay attention, we get stuck with the Bush era, or Trump-nightmare. It’s imperative to raise awareness about the importance of voting. Do not take that liberty lightly, there are plenty of countries under dictatorship where you cannot vote, let us be thankful that we can vote in America, even if it is with the archaic 538 system on Tuesdays instead of a holiday such as a Sunday. PS. Oct 1st is also the DIA’s birthday, which for the first time in decades is facing investigation to the highest level by other Intelligence Agencies, specifically for bullying and intimidating other Agencies, for WTC7 on 9/11, and the Country-Music shooter in Vegas a few years ago. Who was he, and why did he do that, and how is it somehow related to the DIA? People want some declassified reports. I prefer other Intelligence Agencies for numerous reasons, including that there are still employed DIA officers who voted for Trump and plan on voting for Trump again, which is a dangerous cocktail for anybody who wants the next Commander-in-Chief not to give the U.S. Air Force headaches on a daily basis for the next 4 years). #NoMoreTrump PS. Reading daily intelligence briefings are not a joke. They're important, and must be read every single day. Harris can do that, Trump cannot. Mic drop.

What’s up, everybody! It’s Friday, September 27th, 2024. TGIF! It’s the weekend, so hopefully that means you did all your homework, if you are in school, and you can enjoy the weekend with us 40 million Gamers or more. It’s TOKYO GAME SHOW 2024 weekend, so it’s exciting! Lots of great new videos on YouTube, unfortunately the majority of them are in Japanese-only. Thankfully, many have english subtitles or english dubs. It’s going to be great! They already had SEGA, RGG Games is coming soon, and Sony Playstation will have a talk, I’m sure. Xbox was featured, and so was Nintendo. The HIDEO KOJIMA super-fans like myself are impatiently waiting for Saturday Evening on the West Coast, because that’s when the 90 Minutes Conference for Death Stranding 2 will start. A lot of us are eagerly waiting what happens, but chances are, we’ll witness a new trailer, more info about the ANICORN watches, and a movie trailer, for the Death Stranding movie adaptation. Maybe we’ll find out the release date. Now we know that’s in 2025, but I hope we don’t have to wait the entire year. A release date as soon as January 2025 would make us all very happy, and give us a game to enjoy during those Winter months. In any case, I am very excited that the YouTube series HideoTube has been translated into English, I plan on watching all of it. Thank You, Kojima-San.

As always, it’s Thursday, it’s unfair that women could afford Thursday Ladies Night in Vegas while we work all day and cannot afford lunch or buy a sandwich, therefore, Thursday is Medical Journals day. Enjoy. I am now vaccinated from COVID-19 KP.2, KP.3, and LB.1. There’s a new variant called XEC but no vaccine for that just yet. Anyway, get yourself vaccinated so you protect yourself and those you care about during the Fall Season. Thank you in advance. Don’t forget to get that FLU shot as well. I’ve done so.

What’s up, everybody! It’s Tuesday, September 24th, 2024. I’m gonna make a new VLOG video then uploading it when I can. It’s probably going to be in French. If I have time, I’ll do one in English. Now please, understand that today is #UNGA79 at the United Nations. This is a very important day for the UN. Especially because while many will translate into English, French is one of the most important languages in New York at UNHQ, because the United Nations created Les Droits de L’Homme (Human Rights), and that there are people right now who are being tortured, which is against the Geneva Conventions. Especially people stuck in CIA Black Sites, the Gulag, and by MOSSAD. Everybody is complicit, and that’s the reason why Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 had to reveal “the truth.” Problematically (new word), this puts American Lives who are traveling around the globe at risk, therefore, there needs to be new policies written in Congress, and at the State Department. I am tired of having to do so much work, it is time to admit that y’all need my help, stop saying you do not need it. Goddamn, I really wish I could play some CYBERPUNK 2077 / PHANTOM LIBERTY instead. Shout out to the Quai d’Orsay. PS. Tell Twitter to let me authorize my account with an email address asap. I cannot afford a secondary telephone for a while. Tell cell phone carriers to start offering OnePlus and Nothing phones cheaper. I cannot afford an iPhone 16 because America won’t pay me. Introducing the ✨hashtag #Desperate ✨ banner 🫶🏼

There’s been a lot of discourse about how the hashtag #OpenToWork banner puts off recruiters and hiring managers, because it makes you come across as desperate.

Frankly, as a victim of redundancy, I am desperate, and I don’t think that’s anything to be ashamed of.

Being laid off doesn’t reflect a lack of skills, talent or work ethic - it’s just bad luck. No one should be embarrassed that they need to pay their rent and bills, support their family, or feed themselves.

Wear your hashtag #OpenToWork banner with pride, because to me, it just shows that you’re strong, resilient and optimistic - qualities any employer would be lucky to find.🧡
